Learning Objectives:
Understand the definition of matrescence
Review maternal ambivalence from a psychoanalytic perspective
Discuss therapeutic considerations relevant to new motherhood
The educational objective for the APAL Grand Rounds Series is to improve medical providers’ knowledge and skills in diagnosing, treating, and supporting pregnant and postpartum individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The APAL Grand Rounds Series is held monthly on a Friday from 12 to 1pm.
