Dr. Kalia will be discussing menopausal transitions in mental health.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the definition and symptoms of perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause
  • Review ways to screen for mental health disorders during this hormonal transition period
  • Review existing evidence base for current and exploratory treatments for psychiatric conditions and symptoms of menopause

The educational objective for the APAL Grand Rounds Series is to improve medical providers’ knowledge and skills in diagnosing, treating, and supporting pregnant and postpartum individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The APAL Grand Rounds Series is held monthly on a Friday from 12 to 1pm.
