Mission Statement: The Arizona Pediatric Psychiatry Access Line (APAL) is dedicated to enhancing mental health care for children and adolescents by supporting frontline providers across the state. We are driven by a deep understanding of the profound impact of untreated mental illness on the healthy development of children and adolescents, their families, and also for healthcare providers caring for them in under resourced communities. Staffed by experienced child and adolescent psychiatrists and coordinators, APAL offers free, timely, and high-quality consultation, education, and resources to help callers confidently manage complex mental health challenges. By strengthening the capacity of healthcare providers across the state, we strive to improve access to care, promote early intervention, and ensure that no child or family faces mental health struggles alone.
