Mission Statement: The Arizona Pediatric Psychiatry Access Line (APAL) is dedicated to enhancing mental health care for children and adolescents by supporting frontline providers across the state. We are driven by a deep understanding of the profound impact of untreated mental illness on the healthy development of children and adolescents, their families, and also for healthcare providers caring for them in under resourced communities. Staffed by experienced child and adolescent psychiatrists and coordinators, APAL offers free, timely, and high-quality consultation, education, and resources to help callers confidently manage complex mental health challenges. By strengthening the capacity of healthcare providers across the state, we strive to improve access to care, promote early intervention, and ensure that no child or family faces mental health struggles alone.
Help Save APAL—Your Story Matters
APAL's funding was suddenly cut due to federal budget changes. We're still here—for now—but we're fighting to keep this lifeline open for Arizona’s perinatal and pediatric patients.
If APAL has helped you, your story could help save us. In this critical moment, your voice is the most powerful tool we have to show why access to psychiatric care matters.
We’re so grateful for the providers who trust and use APAL. Help us keep showing up for Arizona’s families—share your story today.
